The state chief minister’s office said Cyclone Michaung has landed between Nellore and Kavali in Andhra Pradesh। According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), the storm will have wind speeds up to 110 km/h (68 mph), but these will slow down as the cyclone leaves land।

In Andhra Pradesh, about 9,500 people have been evacuated to 211 relief camps।
